Impacting 400 Swiss Individuals

Impacting 400 Swiss Individuals

Eone

Duration:

3 months

When group-buy platform QoQa approached us for a seasonal campaign to launch into Switzerland, we declined the offer unless there was a social impact initiative in place. Accepting our conditions, the 48 hour 'buy-one-gift-one' campaign benefitted 800 Swiss residents.

(IMPACT)

Across a 48 hour group-buy campaign with an initial sales target of 200 units, we agreed to match every sale with a value-in-kind donation of an Eone timepiece to largest deaf and deafblind association in Switzerland, SZBlind. The initial target was reached within 12 hours and the call was made to increase our quota to 400 units. 3 months later, Eone successfully delivered 400 units to SZBlind to be allocated to individuals in their community.

(VISION & INNOVATION)

When expanding markets and regions, I was adamant we worked with the right partners who understood and shared our values. I initiated conversations with SZBlind to gauge their interest and feasibility, and the team at QoQa were very excited to do things differently.

(CHALLENGES)

To ensure this project was feasible from a business standpoint, we were able to refurbish 400 new-old-stock units that had yet to be sold. The additional workload within a short time frame meant our delivery timeline would be pushed back. Through stakeholder management and communications, we relayed our new dates and the changes were well received.

(PROBLEMS)

Jumping from 200 units to 400 in a short space of time meant a sudden scramble in production - as we closed in on the festive season. This sudden shift created some delays for customers, which we handled through communications explaining the project.
